Sustainability and Eco Responsibility

We pride ourselves on pioneering new eco-friendly products that are ethically sourced.

British Tags has always been a leader in its field through a continual desire for improvement and innovation. A quest for knowledge. Our attitude towards our environmental responsibility is no different. So, if reducing your carbon footprint is a goal, then please speak to us and we can guide you through the sustainable branded packaging, labelling and promotional options we offer.

Eco Friendly Products

Let us help you to protect the planet.

The real picture around the term ‘environmentally friendly’ is vague. Our role at British Tags is to help you help the planet. We can advise you on the origin of materials AND the ecological transparency of the manufacturing process. We can guide you through the minefield of environmental jargon, false claims, and misleading statements that seem to pervade our industry. You will then have all the facts to decide on the most sustainable solution for your business with our environmentally friendly branded products.

Environmental question:

What impact will my product have on the environment?

Answer: The manufacturing and delivery of any product has an energy and an environmental impact. At British Tags, we are working hard to measure and minimise those impacts. By developing new products and investing in our own net-zero carbon programme, British Tags is leading the way to a sustainable future.

Reducing your carbon footprint

At British Tags, we have an extensive knowledge of the ‘circular economy’. Circular in relation to the production and eventual destiny of the products we make for you. Rather than the damaging linear production model where items are manufactured using Earth’s resources and then discarded as waste, we strive to adopt this circular model. Recycling, then re-using the elements of your beautiful branded products is the ultimate goal. Wherever possible we can also minimise the carbon footprint through local manufacturing. We can hold stock in China as well as India, Turkey, and locally in the UK, minimising the environmental impact of transport.

Eco-friendly Products

We are continually working with our suppliers and factories to find ways to make as many of our products in as sustainable a manner as we can. Our work on this is never complete as we continually strive to find new earth-friendly methods of production and to source responsible materials.

Here are some great examples:

Recycled Yarn

We can used recycled yarn for our woven labels and branded ribbon, or bamboo fibre for our wristbands and lanyards.

Organic Cotton

We can offer you organic cotton for your cotton labels and other products rather than commercially produced raw cotton.

Eco Paper

For our paper products, we can supply these using recyclable and biodegradable paper as well as FSC paper grown responsibly.

Tree Sap

There are now some excellent laminations that use tree sap rather than laminations using chemicals much less friendly to the environment.

Starch & Cane

Plastic bags can now be made of potato starch or sugar cane and we also can use a range of eco-friendly inks.
